What do your pupils think about protecting the planet? Use the thinking card to check prior knowledge and misconceptions then revisit at the end of the challenge to assess their learning.

How to use this resource

  1. Display the thinking card on your whiteboard for a whole class approach or print for pupils to work independently
  2. Ask pupils to look at the characters and reflect on why each character has a particular idea and think about whether they agree or disagree

Background

In 2015 world leaders met to agree on goals to make the world a better place for everyone, now and in the future.  They want this to happen in the next 10 years.  One of these goals is called LIFE ON LAND.  This goal is to protect habitats and stop plants and animals from becoming extinct.
