What is a plant hunter? Pupils will find out about plant hunters travelling the globe, then plan what they would take with them on a plant hunting expedition.

Why are two in five of the world’s plants threatened with extinction? Pupils will learn about dangers facing plants, then produce a game to raise awareness of these issues.

Which plants are used to make medicines? Pupils will explore how plants are used in modern medicine and traditional remedies, then create a poster advertising a medicinal plant.

How can plants transform landscapes? Pupils will discover how Sir Arthur Hill used plants to turn WW1 war cemeteries into places for remembrance, then design their own proposal to transform a neglected space using plants.

Why do some people not have enough food to eat? Pupils will learn about world hunger, then deliver a presentation about what they can do to make sure there is enough food for everyone in the future.

What are fungi? Pupils will discover which fungi are helpful and which are harmful, then draw a comic book cover or poster showing fungi “heroes” and “villains”.

How can we protect plants and animals? Pupils will explore ways of protecting life on land, then deliver a presentation outlining what they can do to end biodiversity loss.
